Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Companies
Ireland has 40 of the top 50 pharmaceutical companies with facilities in the state. Of these global players, seven of the top ten are based in South Dublin County. These companies include Pfizer, Roche, Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co Inc., Sanofi, AbbVie, and GSK.
The greater Dublin area is also home to the top five global medical device companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Abbott Laboratories, Medtronic PLC, Baxter International, Novartis, and AG. These companies are supported by local industries that have grown and adapted to meet this specialist industry’s demand.
